Place-Based Science & Stories

Every place has a logic to it — the way water moves through it, the way people gather, the way history shows up in the streetscape or the soil.

My name is Mimi. I'm an environmental designer, planner, and storyteller drawn to the spaces where ecology, culture, and the built world collide. Glitch in the Moss is my attempt to read the logic across landscapes, and find what is transferable. I've lived in the suburbs of DC, the red rock canyons of Moab, and the dense urban fabric of Chicago — and what I keep finding is that seemingly opposite places have more to teach each other than anyone expects. This is where I document those connections.
